Key Issues on Vibration of Vehicle Transmission: Research and Discussion

Vibration of vehicle transmission is a key issue in the development of Automobiles. Vibration analysis and reduction technology is a crucial general technology in the designing of vehicle transmission .The presentation systematically discusses the research background and the status and function of transmission vibration during the system development. The basic problems and novel research fields of vehicle vibration are discussed.

(1) Theoretical nonlinear vibration models of planetary and fixed axis gears are proposed , considering internal and external multi-source excitation. The coupling effect of gear and shaft is intensively studied, and accurate simulation of laternal-torsional coupled vibration is achieved.

(2) Based on the hypergraph theory, the general model of transmission with mutative topology is developed. Nonlinear impact during shifting process is studied and the influence of system parameters on the impact characteristics is revealed.

(3) The co-simulation and analysis method based on the rigid-flexible coupled multibody dynamics is proposed, which can achieve the coupling between the finite element model of gearbox and the nonlinear vibration model of gears. The simulation results help to lay a solid foundation for the dynamic optimization and strength design of vehicle transmission.

(4) Based on sensitivity analysis and a combined DOE and optimization technology, the process of vibration analysis and matching design is put forward aiming at vibration reduction of vehicle transmission.
