In order to increase vehicle performance, improve fuel economy, meet more and more stringent emission standards, decrease shift impact. Power-train research team addresses lots of simulation and control for vehicle power-train matching. As far as the vehicle steady states are considered, the power-train parameters are optimized for engine higher efficiency operation points and thus the vehicle’s test cycle fuel consumption improving. With dynamic programming theory, the power-train energy management strategies for hybrid electric vehicle are explored for offline optimization and online control. In order to decrease the shift impact, the clutch dynamic friction torque observer model is built. The non-linear control technology with Input-to-State Stability and Back-stepping are adopted and the speed following control strategy is made. The transient performance of the power-train is improved. These research provides the theory and engineering direction for simulation and control of the vehicle power-train performance matching and optimization.

Prof.Gao Ying is Professor / Ph.D. Supervisor inDepartment of Internal Combustion Engine, College of Automotive Engineering, JILIN University. Teaching in Department of Internal Combustion Engine, College of Automotive Engineering, JILIN University. The research fields include vehicle power-train performance matching and simulation, engine in-cylinder flow, spray and combustion, model based emission control and diagnostic real time strategy, vehicle thermal management and so on. In 1994, graduated from JILIN University of Technology for bachelor degree, in 1997 for master degree, and in 2003 for Ph.D. degree.

Funded by 6 National Programs from 863 Plan. Published 20 papers, 3 invention patents, 5 software copyrights, 1 for Science and Technology Advancement 2nd Award from Automotive Industry and 2 from JILIN Province
