Abstract of speech

The presentation firstly introduces the competition status and market share of China telematics industry. Then analyses the technical features of major TSP including GM Onstar, Toyota G-Book and SAIC inkaNet, etc. As well as the new technology and commercial mode like voice recognition, car App and inter linking between smart phone and car head unit. Finally, the author forecasts the future trend of China telematics market and technology.

As a senior consultant of Neusoft Corporation, My research interesting focus on Auto Electronics, including IVI (In-vehicle Infotainment) Systems, GPS Navigation&Map, Telematics, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), Driverless Car, Intelligent Automobile, BCM (Body Control Moudule) and ITS(Intelligent Transportation System). I got Ph.D from Wuhan University of Technology on 2002. As well as was awarded as the associated research follower when worked as a post-doctoral research follower on 2003. Since 2004, I have been working at Shanghai automotive industry with the scope covering passenger car, commercial vehicles, new energy vehicles and auto parts, with 70+ published papers as 1st author.

Achievements in scientific research

With 10+ years working experience in China auto industry, the important projects I joined include Haima battery electric car which was China national 863 program in which I was responsible of assistant manager, Cherry Hybrid Electric Car which also was 863 program, Shanghai Expo Electric Bus and Hybrid Bus Team and Powertrain Localization of SAIC Istana mini van.
