SONGZ Automobile Air Conditioning Co., Ltd., founded in June, 2002 with the investment of USD15.5 million, is a solely foreign-funded enterprise specialized in R&D, manufacturing and marketing of the vehicle air conditioner system. The headquarters of the Company, located in No. 4999, Huaning Road, Xinzhuang Industrial Zone, Shanghai, with the floor space of 110 mu and over 1,000 employees, of which over 200 have middle and high rank professional titles, holds Xiamen Songz, Anhui SONGZ and Chongqing SONGZ. Having passed ISO/TS16949：2002 Quality Management System Certification and Automobile Product Certification, the Company is awarded “the High-tech Enterprise and Advanced Technical Foreign-fund Enterprise” in 2007. The Company with a complete technical standard system is a major unit drafting the national standard on air conditioners for Passenger Vehicle; and it has been conferred the titles of “the Flagship Enterprise of Air Conditioners for Passenger Vehicle” and “the Best Manufacturer of Air Conditioners for Passenger Vehicle” for consecutive years by Construction Ministry Science and Technology Committee City Bus Specialist Committee and BAAV. In March, 2008, the Company was reformed into SONGZ Automobile Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. from SONGZ Automobile Air Conditioning Corporation with the registered capital of RMB180 million; and it has 11 shareholders including Chen Fuquan, Beijing Bashi Co., Ltd., Nanjing Zhongbei (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Dazhong Public Utilities (Group) Co., Ltd.

On July 20, 2010, SONGZ was listed successfully on the small and medium-sized plate in Shenzhen (stock: SONGZ Automobile Air Conditioning, stock code: 002454). Song Automobile Air Conditioning is a professional vehicle air conditioner manufacturer and is also the largest domestic large--and-medium-sized air conditioner manufacturer for passenger Vehicle. The Company focuses on the self-owned brand management with independent R&D, design, promotion and marketing of various vehicle air conditioner products by taking the market as the guidance. The products are widely used in various vehicles including large-sized and medium-sized buses, passenger vehicles, trucks, light buses and track cars, filling the gap in the domestic production of double-deck bus air conditioners. And it also produces supporting air conditioners for vehicles including new-fuel buses and coaches for Beijing Olympics and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses.
